Fall is my favorite season. I love all of the fall things: pumpkins (not PSL), football, Halloween, crisp air, changing leaves, apples, and so on. But, the past few years I have developed a love for the late spring and summer as well because of the conventions!
DragonCon is in August (right?) and I would love to go one day. It’s just more than I can justify paying right now. Cons usually mean high expenses (hotel, food, goodies, gas) so I have to be very careful and just choose a few.
I love ConCarolinas because it is sort of like a big family reunion. That’s my chance to see everyone I don’t get to see very often, and it’s just so refreshing and rejuvenates my little writer/editor soul.
I also love ConGregate because it’s great to see a new convention grow and gain its footing in the con scene. I also get to see many of my friends there and have met so many new friends as well.
AtomaCon is just plain fun. I’m not sure if it’s the atmosphere (it’s in Charleston, SC) or the people or the panels, but it’s a blast.
Let’s get a roll call going, shall we? Who is going to which cons? Attendee? Guest? Which cons are your favorites? For what reasons?
